Stephin Merritt talked Magnetic Fields on WFMU (listen) ++ win tix to Apollo shows

Stephin Merritt continues to tour The Magnetic Fields' 50 Song Memoir opus, in which he wrote a song about every year of his first five decades of existence. With a theatrical stage show, each city of the tour gets two nights — night 1 being the first 25 songs; night 2 being the other 25 — and it stops in NYC for performances at the historic Apollo Theatre on June 15 & 16. Tickets are still available but if you'd like to go for free we're giving away a pair of tickets for both nights. Enter our contest below. Meanwhile, Merritt stopped by WFMU on Wednesday (5/16) to talk with DJ Irwin Chusid about 50 Song Memoir, the tour and more.
