Steve Earle and Alejandro Escovedo playing City Winery winter residencies

Steve Earle, who released his most recent album So You Wanna Be An Outlaw earlier this year, will continue his tradition of doing a winter residency at NYC’s City Winery early next year. His 2018 residency takes place on four days in January and February, on January 2 & 16, and February 19 & 26. Several special guests have been tapped to appear; the January 2 show features The Head and the Heart’s Jonathan Russell, the January 16 show is with Sarah Jarosz, and the February 26 show is with Joe Pug. No guests have been announced for the February 19th show, but further guests are expected to be announced soon. Tickets are on sale now.

Meanwhile, Alejandro Escovedo is doing his own run of shows in January at City Winery, just like he did last year. During these shows, he’ll be performing his album A Man Under The Influence in its entirety, with a backing string section. That run lasts from January 18-20 and are all with the DB’s Chris Stamey, who will be joined by Millie McGuire. Tickets for those shows sale now.

Finally, as mentioned, the legendary Los Lobos will be doing their annual run of holiday shows at City Winery from December 17-19, which includes a meet-and-greet with the band. There’s both an early and late show each night, resulting in six shows total. Some tickets are still available.
