Father and son musicians Steve Earle and Justin Townes Earle will be doing an autism benefit on December 14 at Town Hall with Jackson Browne (tickets) . They’ve added a rehearsal show for that happening the day before (12/13) at City Winery. There’s no Jackson Browne at the rehearsal but tickets are on sale.
Steve and Justin will be at City Winery a lot over the next couple months. Steve has his annual Winter Residency at City Winery on the way on January 2, 11, 19 & 27, for which tickets are still on sale. All of those shows will feature special guests and a few of those have now been announced; the 1/2 show will feature Aoife O’Donovan and the show on 1/19 will feature John Doe of X.
Meanwhile, Justin has a couple solo shows of his own at City Winery. He’ll play on January 6 & 7, and tickets for that are on sale now. No word yet on support for those shows.
In non City Winery Steve Earle news, the singer-songwriter will be a part of David Broza‘s “Not Exactly Christmas Show” which happens at 92Y on December 24. The show also features Mira Awad, Ali Paris and other guests TBA. Tickets are on sale now.
