Steve Gunn

Steve Gunn announces first album for Matador & tour, shares "Conditions Wild"

Steve Gunn‘s first album for Matador has finally been announced. It’s called Eyes On The Lines and it’s due out June 3 via the label (pre-order). His band for the record is Nathan Bowles (drums, banjo, organ), Hans Chew (wurlitzer), James Elkington (guitar, lap steel, dobro), Mary Lattimore (harp), Jason Meagher (bass, guitar, flute), Paul Sukeena (guitar), Justin Tripp (bass, keyboards), and John Truscinski (drums).

The album’s first single is the very nice sounding folk rocker “Conditions Wild,” which has a video directed by Brandon Herman. Check that out below. Artwork and tracklist below too.

Steve will be touring this year too, with Bowles (drums), Elkington (guitar, lap steel), and Meagher (bass) as his live band. That includes his Northside show with Cut Worms at Music Hall of Williamsburg on June 9 (tickets). He also has NYC-area shows in Montclair, NJ at Outpost in the Burbs on April 8 with Dawn Landes (tickets), and Port Chester, NY on June 30 at Garcia’s at the Capitol Theatre with Prmomised Land Sound. Tickets for the Cap show go on sale today (3/30) at noon. All dates are listed below.
