Attempt Survivors

Stream Attempt Survivors' (Helmet, Saetia, etc) debut two-song single

Attempt Survivors is a new band with members of Helmet, Saetia, Six Going on Seven, and Errortype:11, and their debut release is the two-song “Educated Hips” / “Follow Me Chaos” single for Iodine Recordings. They recently released the A-side, which found the band navigating the ’90s-style post-hardcore territory that these members of course know so well, and we’re now premiering the B-side, which is longer, slower, more atmospheric, and takes some influence from ’70s Pink Floyd, as vocalist Joshua English explains:

If art/sonics are about the process, best follow half-blind & see where it takes us. In this regard, Attempt | Survivors’ “Follow Me Chaos” is the proverbial B-side, both an anomaly & indicative of future travels. A reverse delay riff, some guitar squall and a groove that mines the early riches of Pink Floyd’s ’70s catalogue. A perfect headphones listen to end the early conversation – the promise of more “Chaos” ensuing shortly.

Listen to both songs below. The official release date (including vinyl) is June 10. Pre-orders are up here.

Meanwhile, guitarist Adam Marino’s band Saetia just rehearsed for the first time in 24 years.
