Brain Tentacles Child Bite

stream Child Bite & Brain Tentacles' new split

Weirdo heavy bands Child Bite and Brain Tentacles recently wrapped up a tour together, and as mentioned, they also released a limited edition split 7″ for that tour. You can pick up a copy from Learning Curve Records while they last, and if you’d like to stream the songs online, you’re in luck — we’re premiering a stream in this post. Child Bite contribute “Nervequake,” which sounds like a fucked up cross between Pere Ubu and Detroit proto-punk, and Brain Tentacles — the avant-metal supertrio of saxophonist Bruce Lamont (Yakuza, Corrections House, etc), drummer Dave Witte (Municipal Waste, Discordance Axis, etc), and bassist Aaron Dallison (Keelhaul) — contribute the creepy, undefinable “Yes.” Listen to both songs below.

Child Bite also have a tour with Black Tusk coming up, including a Brooklyn show at Saint Vitus on 11/14 (tickets). Child Bite vocalist Shawn Knight also dipped his toes into grindcore earlier this year with the debut album from Shock Narcotic, his new band with members of The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Battlecross.
