stream CJ Ramone's new album 'The Holy Spell'

CJ Ramone‘s fourth solo LP The Holy Spell… comes out tomorrow (5/10) via Fat Wreck Chords (pre-order), and ahead of its release, we’re premiering a stream of the whole thing. “The Holy Spell is the record I’d like to be remembered for,” CJ tells us. “It is my most well written, heartfelt, fast and loud record. Proud as heck of it.” As the early singles hinted, the former Ramones bassist is mostly working in the same realm of punchy, catchy punk rock as his old band was, and it’d be hard for any Ramones fan not to nod their head to this record. He strays briefly from his usual formula for the acoustic “Hands of Mine,” and for part of closer “Rock On,” which is a tribute to the late, great Steve Soto (Adolescents, Agent Orange), who CJ used to collaborate with. “Steve really has a lot to do with where I am now, and every record, Steve was right there with me,” CJ said.
