Gold Dime, the current project of Andrya Ambro (Talk Normal), are releasing their new album My House this Friday (10/11) via Fire Talk (pre-order), and we're premiering a full stream of it in this post. As previously mentioned, Gold Dime has a revolving door of collaborators, and this album was made with Ian Douglas-Moore on bass and John Bohannon (Ancient Ocean) on guitar. Andrya produced it herself, and it was recorded/mixed by Ernie Indradat.

The record covers a lot of ground, with rippers in the long-running tradition of NYC noise rock, discordant slow-burners, avant-garde pieces, and more. There's some real out-there stuff, and there's also some very catchy stuff. From her clattering drums to her soaring, piercing voice, Andrya is the star of the show, but her collaborators are no slouches and Gold Dime really come off like a tight power trio on this album. And John Bohannon's guitar soundscapes, which totally defy the typical limitations of a guitar, are no small part of what makes this album great. Listen below.

As mentioned, Gold Dime play a hometown album release show at Brooklyn's Alphaville on Wednesday (10/9) with Wume and P.E. (members of Pill and Eaters) (tickets). After that, they hit the road for a few weeks and then return home to play a Halloween Extravaganza at Brooklyn Bazaar Basement on October 30 with Dan Friel, Parlor Walls, and Droneroom/Nonconnah (tickets).
