Harmony Woods is the moniker of Philly musician Sofia Verbilla, whose debut album Nothing Special comes out this Friday (5/5) via Honest Face Records (pre-order physical or digital). The album was produced, engineered, and mixed by Modern Baseball co-singer/guitarist Jake Ewald, mastered by that band's bassist Ian Farmer, and it features lead guitar by their other singer/guitarist, Brendan Lukens. As you may expect from an artist working closely with Modern Baseball, Harmony Woods is melodic, vulnerable, emo-ish indie rock, but it's closer in sound to MoBo's melancholic songs than their more popular, peppier stuff. Here's what Sofia tells us about the album:

Nothing Special presents two parts of a romantic relationship: the bubbly, hopeful beginning and the unsure, bitter falling out. However, both sides of the record are meant to encourage those listening to find strength in vulnerability.

A full stream of the album premieres below.
