Bay Area band Hell Fire formed in 2010 but they sound transported in directly from the era of '80s thrash and NWOBHM, and they make no bones about being nostalgic for that era. Talking about their upcoming third album Mania -- their proper debut for RidingEasy Records -- vocalist/guitarist Jake Nunn said:

Thematically, everything on the album comes from personal experiences, from the highs of partying together out here in Oakland, or the nostalgia of being a kid learning Zeppelin on a beat up guitar, to the extreme lows of isolation, personal trauma, and mental illness. Sonically we want our records to sound like you're standing in front of the stage at a show. The power of Marshall stacks in front of your face, drums at your ear level, thunder of the bass and feeling the presence of the room.

They definitely achieve that feeling all throughout Mania, which comes out this Friday (3/29) but first premieres in its entirety right here. Listen below, and pre-order it if you like what you hear.

Hell Fire are going on a co-headlining tour with another retro metal band, Haunt, and they're also playing the Hell's Heroes festival in Houston and the Psycho Smokeout festival in LA. All dates are listed below.
