Hundredth established themselves at the beginning of this decade as a force in the melodic hardcore world, but they went in a more dreamlike, atmospheric direction on 2017's RARE, and they're continuing in that style with their new single series this year. They released "Whatever" back in May, and we're now premiering their next new single, "Cauterize." Hundredth's new direction has been called "shoegazy," but don't expect the pillowy guitars of MBV or anything. This new song kinda sounds like a cross between the reverb-heavy post-hardcore of Circa Survive and the atmospheric guitar heroism of early U2 or The Cure, and if that sounds up your alley, you'll probably agree that Hundredth do a fine job at this sort of thing.
