Invisibl Skratch Piklz Planet B

stream Invisibl Skratch Piklz & Planet B's split 7"

Turntablism OGs Invisibl Skratch Piklz have teamed up with Planet B (one of the many bands of Justin Pearson from The Locust/Retox/etc) for a free split 7″. It comes out on Tuesday (4/18) via Pabst Blue Ribbon Music, Pearson’s Three One G label, and Thud Rumble. Side A includes the Invisibl Skratch Piklz song “Polka Fist Pump” and a Planet B mix of that same song. Side B includes the Planet B mix of “Old Age Lasts Too Long” from the Incompresa film (which Justin Pearson scored and starred in), and an instrumental version of that same song.

Speaking about his decision to collaborate with Invisibl Skratch Piklz, Justin Pearson said, “It makes sense to us to mix aspects of punk and hardcore with hip hop and turntablism. It’s all aesthetically punk anyhow.” Planet B’s Luke Henshaw adds, “When collaborating with such great artists, its best to not draw a line, and to leave the doors open for endless opportunities for disaster.”

We’re premiering a stream of the entire split ahead of its release. Listen:
