Shabazz Palaces are releasing two new albums next week (7/14) via Sub Pop, Quazarz: Born On A Gangster Star and Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machines. The group are calling the albums "extra-spatial twins," and both tell the story of Quazarz, "a sentient being from somewhere else, an observer sent here to Amurderca to chronicle and explore as a musical emissary." You can now stream them both in full at NPR HERE and HERE.

Shabazz Palaces are touring, including a Brooklyn show on September 6 at Warsaw with Porter Ray (tickets). They also play Riot Fest.

Shabazz Palaces' Ishmael Butler (aka Butterfly) was last in NYC in May and June with the reunited Digable Planets.
