stream The Brother Brothers' "Siren Song," catch them on tour

Brooklyn’s The Brother Brothers are the duo of identical twin brothers David and Adam Moss, and last fall they released their debut album Some People I Know and have done shows with Big Thief, I’m With Her, and more. They’ve now got a new single, a studio version of “Siren Song” which has been in their repertoire for a few years (they recorded it for a live session in Bushwick in 2014 and an Audiotree session in 2016). If you’re not familiar with The Brother Brothers, they often recall the close harmonies and gentle melodies of Simon & Garfunkel, but they bring just a little bit more twang to it, and this song is a great example of what they do. It makes its premiere below. The duo also provided this quote along with the song:

On the corner of 6th and Pedernales in Austin, TX, there was a group of warehouses that were not zoned for living in, but many of us did anyway. It was on the soon-to-be gentrifying East side. Commercial trains would weave between the empty lots and the tiny little brightly painted houses on their way through town. Bikes and beers and very little insulation. It was cheap and easy but not much of a home.

The Brother Brothers have several tour dates coming up, including a hometown NYC show on February 28 at Le Poisson Rouge (tickets). That show (and a bunch of others) will be opened by Dead Horses. You can also catch The Brother Brothers in Austin during SXSW. All dates are listed below.
