Scott "Wino" Weinrich's legendary metal band The Obsessed are releasing their first new album in over 20 years, Sacred, on April 7 via Relapse. So far they released two songs that showed The Obsessed still have it, and we're premiering a third, "Punk Crusher," which proves the same. It is indeed a punk crusher, a much faster song than the sludgy "Sodden Jackyl" and the riff rocker "Razor Wire." This one's very much in Motorhead territory, complete with a proto-thrash riff and a solo that really screams. It's great stuff -- check it out below.

The Obsessed's are playing Detroit's Berserker festival with Eyehategod (Mike IX included), GWAR, OFF!, Weedeater, Negative Approach, and more. Shortly before that, they play a record release show in Philly on April 8 at Kung Fu Necktie. Tickets for the Philly show go on sale Friday (3/3) at noon.
