stream Thou's new album 'Magus'
After releasing three great and very different EPs — the noisy The House Primordial (Raw Sugar Records), the folk/slowcore-ish Inconsolable (Community Records), and the grungy Rhea Sylvia (Deathwish Inc) — boundary-pushing metal band Thou are set to now release a full-length, Magus, next week (8/31) via Sacred Bones. On this one, they aimed to bring together all of the various sounds they’ve been experimenting with. You can now see what they came up with, as the album is here one week early.
As mentioned, Thou also have a few upcoming shows, including a release show on September 1 at Knitting Factory Brooklyn with their Sacred Bones labelmates Uniform (who will be celebrating their own recently released album, The Long Walk) and Sunrot. Tickets are still available.
