Todd Rundgren, Emil Nikolaisen (Serena Maneesh) and Hans-Peter Lindstrøm‘s collaborative album, Runddans, is out next week via Smalltown Supersound. A 40-minute piece that’s been chopped up into 12 song-like parts, Runddans often sounds like someone scanning the lowest reaches of the FM dial: free jazz, new age and noise all smush together into a musical collage. Occasionally things that sound like pop music bubble to the surface but are gone before you can fully take hold. It’s out there, man, and you can listen to the whole thing via the New Yorker, below.
