Sunny Day Real Estate bassist says there is “no truth” to unreleased album story

Former Sunny Day Real Estate bassist, and current Foo Fighters bassist, Nate Mendel says “There is no truth to this story" in regards to Williams Goldsmith's claims that Dave Grohl blocked the release of a new SDRE album. That is the extent of Mendel's statement which was provided his press representative today.

UPDATE: William Goldsmith has clarified his original statement, but still says, "anyone who claims that there is no unfinished Sunny day record collecting dust I would have to agree to disagree."

Goldsmith had posted on Facebook that a new Sunny Day Real Estate album "remains silenced, abandoned and buried within the murkiest depths of David Grohl's sock drawer."
