Super Bowl commercials: Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, 2 Chainz, Ludacris, more
Super Bowl LIII is underway now, and as usual, in addition to the Rams taking on the Patriots, there are also lots of commercials worth watching for the music/entertainment cameos. Steve Carell, Lil Jon, and Cardi B star in a genuinely funny Pepsi ad (with Lil Jon doing his trademark "OH-KAY!" and Cardi doing her "okurrrr!"); Chance the Rapper collaborates with the Backstreet Boys on a version of "I want It That Way" in a Doritos ad; 2 Chainz and Adam Scott team up for an Expensify ad; Ludacris pops up in a Mercedes commercial; Sex and the City meets The Big Lebowski in an ad for Stella Artois; This Will Destroy You's "The Mighty Rio Grande" soundtracking a Verizon ad; Broad City and Anderson .Paak in an Amazon ad; and more. Watch those below and stay tuned for more.
Meanwhile, the legendary Gladys Knight sang the National Anthem, and Beyonce protégés Chloe x Halle sang "America the Beautiful." Watch videos of those performances below too. Big Boi and Travis Scott are joining Maroon 5 for the Halftime Show. UPDATE: The Halftime Show happened and it was even worse than we expected.
