Cult soul/R&B/blues artist Swamp Dogg got a little welcome recognition last year with his new album Love, Loss & Autotune, which featured Justin Vernon. He's gearing up for his second album on the Joyful Noise label, which he says is his country album and will also features Vernon, along with John Prine and others. While specifics on that are still TBA, Swamp Dogg -- who will turn 77 in July -- just wrapped up his tour at NYC's Le Poisson Rouge on Friday (6/14). His voice and trademark sense of humor were in fine form at LPR, and he was backed by a terrific band. The night ended with him going into the crowd and greeting audience members -- pictures from the show are in the gallery above and Swamp Dogg's setlist is below.
