Cult artist Swamp Dogg's countrified new album Sorry You Couldn't Make It features a lot of notable guests, like John Prine who sings on new single "Memories." They sound pretty great together, like the old pals that they are, and the guitar on this song is played by Bon Iver's Justin Vernon. Says Swamp Dogg, "‘Memories’ is my personal take on: unnecessary lies, sex, death, old school chums; the concept of love, family and friends(?)." Listen below.

The album also features appearances by Jenny Lewis, Channy Leaneagh and Chris Bierden of Poliça, and Sam Amidon and will be out March 6 via Joyful Noise Recordings and Pioneer Works Press.

Meanwhile, John Prine's 2020 tour will bring him to Harlem's legendary Apollo Theatre in June.
