Veteran shoegazey indie rockers Swirlies will release a new EP titled Magic Strop: Tonight which is out Sunday (9/23). Most of the tracks are from a Part Time Punks radio session, but it does also include two brand new songs, including "Fantastic Trumpets Forever" which the band recorded in Malmö, Sweden and which has a bright, positive vibe that reminds me a little of Everything's Alright Forever era Boo Radleys. The song premieres in this post and you can stream it below.

If Sunday seems like a weird day to release a record, it coincides with the first date of Swirlies' tour with Nothing, which happens in Nashville, TN. The tour hits Brooklyn at Warsaw on October 5 and tickets are still available. Swirlies have a couple non-Nothing shows along the way -- all dates are listed below.

Swirlies - Magic Strop: Tonight tracklist:
1. In Harmony New Found Freedom (PartTime Punks Session)
2. Tall Ships (Part Time Punks Session)
3. Le Bag (Part Time Punks Session)
4. Sounds of Sebring (Part Time Punks Session)
5. Sunn (Part Time Punks Session)
