Beach Goth

The Growlers expand tour, playing SummerStage ++ Beach Goth 2019

The Growlers are spending their summer on tour, and have just extended dates into the fall. A new leg, which happens after they get back from UK festival Green Man, kicks off September 5 in East Moline, IL and includes shows in Chicago, PHiladelphia, DC, NYC, Minneapolis, Seattle and more.

While the tour invokes the name of their annual festival, this doesn’t seem to be a multi-band traveling fest — the way Burger Caravan used to do — but just a Growlers tour.

Beach Goth happens August 5 at Los Angeles State Historic Park and the lineup also includes The Drums, Doug E. Fresh, Jonathan Richman, Kirin J Callinan, Hatchie, Bushwick Bill, Barrington Levy, King Yellowman, and more.

The Growlers Six, which happens the weekend before Halloween (October 28 & 29) at the LA Waterfront. As the name implies this is the sixth festival they’re throwing and the lineup includes Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Butthole Surfers, Dan Auerback, Danny Brown, Beth Ditto, Bad Brains, Geto Boys, Guided by Voices, Hepcat, Fear, Mike Watt & The Secondmen, Nice as Fuck, Rostam, Jonathan Richman, Fear, and tons more.

Beach Goth Sunday was a rainy mess, Grimes didn't play

It never rains in Southern California, so sings one of The Strokes’ dads, but downpours wreaked havoc on the second day (10/23) of Beach Goth at The Observatory in Orange County, causing some performances to be canceled and others moved.
