CMJ held their last NYC “music marathon” in October of 2015 but have now been bought by British company Amazing Radio who plan on relaunching the festival this fall.
Adam Klein, the owner of the now defunct CMJ trade journal and CMJ music festival, has been ordered to pay more than half a million dollars to the ex-employees who collectively sued him in 2016 for unpaid wages, by U.S. District Court Judge Katherine Forrest.

The drama surrounding CMJ continues, as Pitchfork reports that two former employees of the company, David DeKeyser and Jessica Levy, filed a lawsuit today in Manhattan, alleging that they are owed unpaid wages and overtime.
