Weekend one of ACL Festival continued on Saturday with sets from Metallica, St. Vincent, Deftones, Sharon Van Etten, Japanese Breakfast, The Breeders, Brandi Carlile, Nelly, Curtis Harding, Molly Burch, CHVRCHES, and more.
They played four songs of 2016's Hardwired... To Self-Destruct and their Reload hit ”Fuel,” but other than that, every song they played was from 1990 or earlier.
Day one of ACL Festival's first weekend featured a headlining set from Paul McCartney, who dedicated "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!" to the late Geoff Emerick, as well as sets from The National, Brockhampton, David Byrne, Manchester Orchestra, Alvvays, Gang of Youths, The Weather Station, Ravyn Lenae, Big Thief, Natalie Prass, and more.
