Afropunk Festival kicked off its 2017 edition at Brooklyn's Commodore Barry Park on Saturday (8/26) with beautiful weather and a stacked lineup, including Solange, Soul II Soul, Macy Gray, Sampha, Sinkane, KING, Serpentwithfeet, and Little Simz.

Absolutely perfect weather, an incredible lineup -- not to mention the amazing fashion going on in the crowd -- made for a great start to Afropunk Fest 2017...

Day 2 of the 2016 Afropunk (Sunday, 8/28) featured three legendary boundary-pushing bands: Bad Brains, Fishbone and Living Colour. Some attendees may not have known that they'd be getting all three at once.

Also: Trash Talk, Cee-Lo and Tyler the Creator.

BV photographer Gretchen Robinette spent the second and final day of the fest taking pics of the very interesting crowd, who came prepared with extravagant outfits, facepaint, headdresses, and more.
