Chicago punk-bluegrass singer Al Scorch releasing a new album on Bloodshot (stream “Lost At Sea”)
Chicago singer/songwriter Al Scorch has a sound influenced by old timey country and bluegrass but also raw driving punk. It sometimes sounds like a more bluegrass version of Neutral Milk Hotel, a comparison that makes even more sense when you consider Al frequently collaborates with Laura Carter, who's toured as a member of NMH. His new album Circle Round the Signs comes out May 13 via Bloodshot (pre-order), and we're premiering its newest single "Lost At Sea."
