With one of Billy Corgan’s most divisive albums turning 20 this weekend, a lot of people have been talking about it, re-evaluating it, debating it. Where do you stand on Zwan in 2023?

Midge Ure, Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Melissa Etheridge, Ryley Walker, Ron Sexsmith, HEALTH, Matthew Caws of Nada Surf, and more also paid tribute to the legendary singer/songwriter, who passed away at the age of 81.

The reunited band also played an intimate aftershow the night before their Lollapalooza set, where they broke out three songs for the first time since the ’90s.

Billy played a mostly solo set at benefit, but he also brought out Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, touring bassist Sierra Swan, and Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, and played another new Pumpkins song, ”Scimitar.”
