“This documentary will introduce the world to him in a way they haven't seen him before,“ says Auerbach. ”I’m still learning bits about him that I never knew, and I hope the movie provides a lens into the story of the life of Dr John.”

Dan Auerbach produced the album, and it's coming out on his Easy Eye Sound label.

"John Prine was my hero for a long time when he came into the butcher shoppe to recut one of his deepest classics with me," recalls Kurt. "Man, I was floating and flying and i couldn't hear anything he told me." The EP's out in October.
