Robert Ellis released ’Texas Piano Man’ back in February which, as its title suggests, finds him trading his guitar for a grand piano and working in the classic '70s singer-songwriter motif while retaining that Texas style.

Tuesday night (1/24) was the "Sincerely L. Cohen: A Celebration of Leonard Cohen" tribute at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg, which featured loving renditions of his songs as well as readings of his poetry.

Deer Tick will complete their 2012 Brooklyn Bowl residency in NYC tonight (12/19). At last week's show (12/12), the band was joined by support from Viking Moses and a solo set from Deer Tick guitarist Ian O'Neil (who earlier that day told us his 'best of 2012')...

Deer Tick hit Webster Hall last night (11/20) with Guards and Thomas Hardy (of Dead Confederate). it was the last date on a larger tour that kicked off in October and hit Reggie's in Chicago along the way, and it was probably the largest headlining show on that tour (and definitely much bigger than Death By Audio)...
