One Step Closer fuse their hardcore roots with grungy, melodic vibes on new single ”Leap Years.”

What started as a side project unexpectedly turned into one of the most thrilling success stories in current hardcore and emo, and the band’s rise hasn’t been without its personal hardships, all of which informs their remarkable debut LP ‘Would You Miss It?’.

“We’d been playing as a six-piece-sometimes-seven-piece-sometimes-more for awhile. It was an ambitious time. Very few of us are technically great musicians, so there was a problem-solving element to the whole thing. And we made it work, sometimes fantastically. We thought it important to document that. Otherwise, nobody would believe we pulled it off,” says Self Defense Family and Drug Church frontman Patrick Kindlon.

The North Carolina punkgazers’ new EP was produced by Jon Markson and mastered by Will Yip.

Featuring recent single ”Dark Blue,” the new EP is the Wilkes-Barre hardcore band’s most melodic release yet.

It’s the first new song from rising hardcore band Buggin in nearly two years, and it’ll appear on the upcoming Flatspot Records compilation…

The album was produced by frequent Drug Church collaborator Jon Markson, and it comes out in September via Flatspot.
