The influence of the Cocteau Twins goes well beyond dreampop and shoegaze.

The highly prolific Mike Huguenor releases his solo guitar album this week (three songs are out now), and ahead of the release, he talked to us about nine of his all-time favorite guitar players...

Penderecki's works have been used in such films as The Exorcist, The Shining, Wild at Heart, Shutter Island and, recently, his haunting, famous composition "Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima" was used memorably in the eighth episode of Twin Peaks: The Return. He has also collaborated with Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood and Portishead's Beth Gibbons.

”We got hacked last week – someone stole Thom’s minidisk archive from around the time of OK Computer, and reportedly demanded $150,000 on threat of releasing it. So instead of complaining – much – or ignoring it, we’re releasing all 18 hours on Bandcamp in aid of Extinction Rebellion,” writes Jonny Greenwood.
