The new compilation is a ”redux” of the label's first release, the 1994 compilation For A Life of Sin: Insurgent Chicago Country, which captured the ever-changing Chicago country scene.

Neko's new album features appearances by Beth Ditto, Mark Lanegan, k.d. Lang, Eric Bachmann (Crooked Fingers, Archers of Loaf), Doug Gillard (Guided by Voices, Nada Surf), Laura Veirs, Joey Burns (Calexico), as well as New Pornographers bandmate AC Newman, and frequent collaborator Kelly Hogan.

There's also a NYC release show this Saturday with the album's creator, David Nagler, and a ten-piece band.
