Conflicts include The Postal Service vs Mr. Bungle, The Breeders (playing Last Splash) vs Braid (playing Frame & Canvas), The Mars Volta vs Godspeed You! Black Emperor vs The Gaslight Anthem vs The Used, and more.

PUP, Ride, Frank Turner, The Interrupters, and more are also playing Riot Fest aftershows this year.

”On this particular night in Brooklyn a lot of those retired songs and deep cuts got dusted off and played for this show. It turned out to be a pretty special event with a really special song list,” says Steve Shelley.

The Chicago festival is headlined by Foo Fighters and Turnstile (on day 1), The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, and Queens of the Stone Age (on day 2), and The Cure and The Mars Volta (on day 3).

MC Hammer, Vernon Reid, John Fogerty, Billy Corgan, Bethany Cosentino, Garbage, Moor Mother, Sheila E, Bette Midler, and others have also paid tribute to the late legend.
