Toronto's Tokyo Police Club first came to my attention when I noticed they were real friendly-like with Toronto's Magneta Lane. A few days later I found out Magneta Lane's label Paper Bag Records went ahead and signed Tokyo Police Club too...

Seeing Magneta Lane @ Emo's Annex on the first day (March 14, 2006) of SXSW makes up for the fact that I was too slow to get to Mercury Lounge on time last week to see their 3rd-ever NYC performance (April 10, 2006)...
