Former Walkmen bassist Peter Matthew Bauer will release his second solo album, Mount Qaf (Divine Love), on November 10 via Fortune Tellers/Kobalt, which is the follow-up to 2014's Liberation!.) It's 10 new songs of rousing, dusty, sun-dappled rock.
"'Where Have All My Heroes Gone' is a call to all citizens to fight for social injustice," says Matt. "It’s a call to the larger than life heroes that the present demands. I believe they will step forward; heroes with voices that speak to everyone, not just fragments of our Country."
Matt has written the score for new documentary Orange Sunshine which is about the Brotherhood of Eternal Love, a church formed in the early '60s by a group of surfers/hippies in Orange County who wanted to change the world with psychedelic drugs and became the largest manufacturers of LSD in the United States.
