"I have no issue with all-fem/gnc lineup, but that's not what Moogfest is....this speaks not to the artists or their music, but to the politics of the festival and self-congratulatory PR. To do this without permission from the artists on display is exploitive and unprofessional."

The 2018 edition of Moogfest happens May 17 - 20 in Durham, NC and they've just announced its initial lineup, which is led by female, non-binary, and transgender artists, including Chelsea Manning SOPHIE, Jamila Woods, Kristen Kontrol, LCD Soundsystem's Gavin Rayna Russom, Ellen Allien, Lawrence Rothman, and more.

The 2017 edition of Moogfest happened in Durham, NC over the weekend, bringing a wide array of electronics-friendly music, talks, workshops and special events over the course of its four days.

Stipe's multimedia piece will feature video footage Stipe shot over the years in NYC that "explores desire and movement."
