Moon Duo

Moon Duo follow up last year's two-part Occult Architecture records with a new single that'll be out January 19 via Sacred Bones. One side features a cover of Suicide's "Jukebox Baby" and on the flip it's a cover of The Stooges' "No Fun."

The lineup for the goth/industrial-leaning fest includes includes The Jesus and Mary Chain, KMFDM, Poptone (Daniel Ash & Kevin Haskins of Love & Rockets/Bauhaus/Tones on Tail), She Wants Revenge, TR/ST, The Gaslamp Killer, Moon Duo, The Soft Moon, and Mykki Blanco.

Sacred Bones 10th Anniversary show for Red Bull Music Academy featured performances from Zola Jesus, Blanck Mass, Jenny Hval, The Men, Moon Duo with Jim Jarmusch, Psychic Ills, Marissa Nadler, Uniform, and Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Edley O'Dowd. The label is putting on another 10th anniversary showcase as part of Northside Fest.

The annual Bumbershoot Festival returns to the Seattle Center in Seattle, WA September 1-3. The 2017 lineup includes Flume, Lorde, Die Antwoord, Haim, Solange, The Roots, Spoon, Gucci Mane, Vince Staples, Conor Oberst, Tacocat, Deap Vally, Ravyn Lenae, and more.

The Sacred Bones 10th Anniversary show has Moon Duo collaborating with Jim Jarmusch, and also features sets from Rose McDowall, Blanck Mass, The Men,Marissa Nadler, Psychic Ills, and Uniform.

"Huge flowers grow out of the dead humanoids, aliens, and their buildings. Moon Duo emerge from an alien’s head as a flower and rainbow, becoming one with the planet as the sun absorbs everything into oblivion."

The Mexico City festival, which takes place right before SXSW, this year features The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Tortoise, Psychic TV, Porches, Moon Duo, Holy Wave, Circuit des Yeux, and lots more.

Vince Staples, Ty Segall, Deafheaven, Cloud Nothings, clipping, Julia Holter & more will play the 2017 edition of Noise Pop.
