Newport Jazz Festival happens August 4-6, and also playing are Jon Batiste, Diana Krall, DJ Pee .Wee (Anderson .Paak), Christian McBride, Arooj Aftab/Vijay Iyer/Shahzad Ismaily, and more.

Newport Jazz’s 2022 lineup includes Norah Jones, Esperanza Spalding, Terence Blanchard, BADBADNOTGOOD, Makaya McCraven, Nubya Garcia, Sons of Kemet, and more.

Newport Jazz Fest happens July 30 – August 1, and the lineup also includes Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Maris Staples, Makaya McCraven, and more.

Because of COVID capacity restrictions, organizers say they’ll be ”doing things a little differently this year.”

”Though Newport Folk won’t look exactly the same, we are thrilled to be safely bringing music and artists back to the Fort,” organizers write.

”This is the letter I was praying I wouldn’t have to write, feeling we need the healing powers of live music more now than ever,” executive producer Jay Sweet writes.

The lineup also includes Jimmy Cliff, The Comet is Coming, Angelique Kidjo, Wynton Marsalis, Diana Krall, The Soul Rebels, A Christian McBride Situation, Cory Wong, Hiromi, and lots more still TBA.
