Pelican’s first album in six years, Nighttime Stories, drops this June via Southern Lord, and you can hear the very heavy lead single ”Midnight and Mescaline” now.

Pelican also just digitally released a remixed, remastered, and expanded version of their last album, along with a new video.

The Primals — the fuzz-rock supergroup of Darkest Hour frontman John Henry, former Dead To Fall bassist Chad Fjerstad, and former The Explosion drummer Andrew Black — recently released their great, John Reis-produced debut album All Love Is True Love on Southern Lord…

For Zozobra’s set — the band that Caleb fronted — Aaron Turner (of Isis and Sumac), Kevin Baker (of All Pigs Must Die and The Hope Conspiracy), Stephen Brodsky, and Zozobra’s own Adam McGrath shared vocal duties.

Cave In, Pelican and Old Man Gloom & 27 are also on the bill.

This White Light is a new band with some familiar faces: Greg Anderson (co-founder of Southern Lord Records and member of Goatsnake, Sunn O))), and more), Bryan Herweg (of Pelican), Jade Devitt (who played in Engine Kid with Greg Anderson), and vocalist Jen Wood (of ’90s Kill Rock Stars band Tattle Tale, The Postal Service’s “Nothing Better,” her solo career, and more)…

Their schedule includes the just-announced Fire In The Mountains festival, which is gradually revealing its lineup.

Conflicts include The Brian Jonestown Massacre vs Pelican, Psychic TV vs King Diamond, Mastodon vs Warning, and more.

The album comes out on Equal Vision imprint Graphic Nature Records, and includes a This Will Destroy You remix of the song “Pale Lights” and production by Matt Bayles.
