Jeff and Steven McDonald say the new album reflects their ”total commitment to having the best fucking time we can have while we’re all still here.” Redd Kross and are on tour with Melvins this fall.

Melvins have just announced a very extensive North American tour that has them out with Redd Kross and Swedish band ShitKid. Melvins and Redd Kross currently share bassist Steve McDonald, and Melvins’ Dale Crover will also pull double duty on this tour as he’s drumming for Redd Kross on this run…

Rooftop Films 2019 Summer Series. includes a collection of Sonic Youth NYC-centric films and videos from their private archives, and a David Bazan documentary (and performance) in Green-Wood Cemetery.

The lineup also includes Rob Zombie, Melvins, Dropkick Murphys, Suicidal Tendencies, Andrew WK, Graveyard, Anti-Flag, Redd Kross, Die Antwoord, and more.

The album is called ‘Pinkus Abortion Technician,’ named of course after Butthole Surfers bassist Jeff Pinkus and Butthole Surfers’ 1987 album ‘Locust Abortion Technician,’ and it includes two Butthole Surfers covers.

Pittsburgh’s The Gotobeds are fond of Redd Kross’ debut EP and have covered it in its entirety many times over their course of their career. (They did it at Saint Vitus back in 2015.) They’ve now put it to tape and are releasing their own version of it, out as a 7″ via Chunklet on November 1…
