Been dreaming of a restaurant that serves pot pizza? NY lawmakers are discussing the possibility as the state prepares to open its first recreational cannabis shops at the end of the year.
This will make Eleven Madison Park the only three-starred Michelin restaurant in the world with an entirely plant-based menu.
The city will also also allow heating lamps and restaurants to expand seating to adjacent property, with neighbor’s permission.
”We’ve been working on this issue every day,” Governor Andrew Cuomo said, ”and we’re now announcing today that we can go to 25% of indoor dining with certain restrictions that will be enacted on September 30.”
While New York is still being very cautious about reopening, New Jersey is moving further towards it, with Governor Phil Murphy announcing today that indoor dining, movie theaters and “indoor performance venues” will be allowed to reopen on Friday, September 4…
”I want to make very clear: We cannot go ahead at this point in time with indoor dining in New York City,” Mayor de Blasio said.
”Our primary goal is to slow the spread of #Coronavirus so that the wave doesn’t crash our healthcare system. Social distancing is the best way to do that,” NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo said of a new tri-state agreement with NJ and CT.
”The virus can spread rapidly through the close interactions New Yorkers have in restaurants, bars and places where we sit close together,” de Blasio writes. ”We have to break that cycle.”
