Seventeen years after the original list, Rolling Stone has published a completely new version of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, including 254 songs that weren't present on the 2004 list.
As you might expect from one of the last big music magazines still in print, it's heavy on mainstream pop and classic rock, including Taylor Swift, Bob Dylan, Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen, BTS, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Halsey, The Weeknd, Paul McCartney, and AC/DC.
The stream, which promotes voter participation, will feature conversations between musicians, actors, and politicians, as well as performances and appearances.
Competing juggernauts in their respective industries, like Billboard and Rolling Stone, and Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, will now fall under the umbrella of the same partnership between their parent companies.
