Record Store Day 2017 is Saturday (4/22) with music lovers, vinyl junkies (and dreaded flippers) lining up to get their hands on some of the this year's exclusive titles. Some stores make a whole day of it, with free live music, record signings...and even free refreshments.
Nick Waterhouse is releasing a new 7" on Record Store Day. The A-side is "L.A. Turnaround" from last year's Never Twice, but the B-side is a new recording, "I Try," that has an interesting history...
The 2017 list includes releases from The War on Drugs, Pink Floyd, Andre 3000, Animal Collective, Big Star, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Creation, The Cure, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, The Grateful Dead, Iggy Pop, Julian Cope, Robert Johnson, and more.
The announcement came via a Funny Or Die video, where she thinks she's becoming Ambassador to Recorstorda, a "small Island in Northern Russia." Hilarity ensues.
