Marissa Nadler, black midi, Real Estate’s Martin Courtney, Pallbearer, Torche, Porcupine Tree, Chad VanGaalen, Polica & more artists put out special releases for today’s Bandcamp fundraiser. Some are for charity and some are up for TODAY ONLY…

The album was co-produced by James Kelly, who used to play guitar and sing in the metal band Altar of Plagues and more recently makes electronic music as WIFE.

Todd’s new special was filmed at Music Hall of Williamsburg and has him roasting an employee of indie label Sacred Bones (who used to write for our metal site Invisible Oranges).

This week’s Notable Releases include The National’s massive new album, Zola Jesus’ return to Sacred Bones, Alvvays’ shiny sophomore LP, and more.

Zola Jesus’ new album ‘Okovi’ marks her return to Sacred Bones, after she signed to Mute for 2014’s ‘Taiga.’

The EP features three new songs, plus remixes by Föllakzoid and Anton Newcombe of Brian Jonestown Massacre.

Sacred Bones 10th Anniversary show for Red Bull Music Academy featured performances from Zola Jesus, Blanck Mass, Jenny Hval, The Men, Moon Duo with Jim Jarmusch, Psychic Ills, Marissa Nadler, Uniform, and Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Edley O’Dowd. The label is putting on another 10th anniversary showcase as part of Northside Fest.

Some new additions were revealed today to Brooklyn’s 2017 Northside Festival lineup, including the BrooklynVegan/AdHoc showcase with Aldous Harding and the Pitchfork showcase with Downtown Boys. Here are more…
