Pinegrove are on tour now in support of this year's Cardinal, one of the very best indie rock albums of the year. We asked frontman Evan Stephens Hall to keep a tour diary, which we'll be updating you with, along with pictures by tour photographer Carly Hoskins (whose photos you've seen on BrooklynVegan before). We mentioned earlier today that Brooklyn venue Palisades is still closed and shows are moving, and that word on the sold-out Pinegrove show (6/24) was coming soon. Now we know that the show will instead happen August 6 at Market Hotel, and the support lineup will instead be Sports, Horse Jumper of Love and Half Waif (who share members with Pinegrove)...

Nandi Rose Plunkett's Brooklyn art pop project Half Waif are following their 2014 debut KOTEKAN with their sophomore album Probable Depths this Friday (5/6) via DZ Tapes (pre-order). We're premiering a full stream of the album, and if you're at all a fan of the type of pop artists that have a foot in the modern classical world, you should check this out. "Nest" has more than a few hints of Julia Holter, while most of the album is up a more similar alley to My Brightest Diamond/early Sufjan/etc...
