David Combs of The Max Levin Ensemble and Spoonboy has teamed up with Erica Freas of RVIVR for the new long-distance collaborative project SOMNIA. They recorded their debut album, How The Moon Shines On The Shit with Mattie Jo from RVIVR on bass, and as David tells us, it's "almost entirely about deriving inspiration from dreams and several of the songs had their inception in dreams (no pun intended, but no pun deleted)"...

Thin Lips announce debut LP ‘Riff Hard,’ touring (3 NYC shows included)
Philly's Thin Lips, which includes members of the now-defunct Dangerous Ponies, 1994! and The Superweaks, released a very solid debut EP on Seagreen Records last year, and now they're set to put out their first full length. It's called Riff Hard, and it's due out on May 20 via Lame-O Records (pre-order). The first single is "Never Again," which is a catchy dose of '90s-style pop punk with scrappy indie rock production...
