Originally set for 2020, the L.A. fest with an ’80s alternative / goth vibe will now happen in 2022 with Echo & the Bunnymen, The Psychedelic Furs, The Damned, Violent Femmes, The English Beat, PiL, Cold Cave, Black Marble and more also playing.

This week: reviews of new records by Wire, Joe Pernice, and Damaged Bug, plus Kevin Hairs, and an Alzheimer’s benefit featuring New Order, Anna Calvi and more.

The album also includes tracks by Beach Slang, TR/ST, Daniel Avery, Cold Specks, and more, and it’s out digitally this week.

Jeff of Vancouver progressive death metallers Neck of the Woods has been rocking Umbra Vitae, Code Orange, Cult Leader, Jurassic 5, and more…

It’s like a John Hughes soundtrack performed live, with Violent Femmes, The Church, English Beat, Public Image Ltd, Gary Numan, Marc Almond and lots more also playing this one-day LA fest.

The second half of TR/ST’s two-part double album ’The Destroyer’ will be out November 1.
