At nearly three minutes long, the first full trailer from the upcoming Weird Al Yankovic biopic gives us a good look at Daniel Radcliffe in his bushy haired, mustached glory as Al, along with a glimpse of Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna.
The book features over 300 photographs taken over the last 45 years by Weird Al drummer Jon “Bermuda“ Schwartz, including behind-the-scenes shots from Al's many iconic videos, to studio sessions, stage photographs, and more.
”Weird Al” Yankovic is in the midst of his ”Ill Advised Vanity Tour,” and for the Seattle stop he included a rendition of Presidents of the United States of America’s inescapable mid-’90s hit.
”I am absolutely thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying me in the film,” Weird Al says. ”I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for.”
Like he did in 2018, Weird Al will hit the road to perform his original, non-parody songs with no crazy costumes. ‘The Vanity tour is the most fun I’ve ever had on stage,” Al says, “so I’ve been dying to get back out there and torture everybody with it once again!”
