WU LYF at MHOW in April (more by Amanda Hatfield) Over the weekend, WU LYF posted a new track, "T R I U M P H," to YouTube, along with a message that seemed to either imply the band have broken up or that frontman Ellery James Roberts has chosen to leave the group...

Willis Earl Beal had me at his opening line, "I am gonna sing you some songs and then I am gonna get off the Goddamned stage!"...He's a born performer and for the duration of his hour long set, he sang like a man possessed...

Manchester's WU LYF stormed Brooklyn for rousing renditions of highlights from their excellent debut ... While the band was limited to brief material (this is why bands with one album get overplayed and burnt out too fast), they still poured endless energy into each track and believe it or not, the growling vocals from a visceral Ellery Roberts continued beyond the songs and into the chatter setting an even deep tone to the show...

The second week of Coachella 2012 (and unfortunately not streaming online this time around) kicked off on 4/20 and continues today, Saturday, Record Store Day...

WU LYF are currently on a tour with Crystal Antlers that brought them to the sold out MHOW on November 8.
